With years of homeschooling experience and a deep love for teaching, April believes learning should be hands-on, joyful, and centered around each child’s God-given purpose. Her commitment to faith, family, and farm-style living led her to co-found Rolling Acres Academy as a response to today’s overwhelming and disconnected educational systems.
For April, this isn’t just a school—it’s a mission. One to raise up the next generation of thinkers, doers, and disciples through timeless values, strong academics, and real-life skills.
With a deep desire to give her son a childhood rooted in nature, responsibility, and a vibrant faith in Jesus, Amber set out on a journey that would change everything. After discovering the Red Barn Farm One-Room School on Instagram, she was instantly drawn to its warmth, simplicity, and Christ-centered approach to learning. Captivated by the beauty and freedom she saw, Amber drove from Tennessee to Virginia to witness it firsthand.
That trip didn’t just inspire her—it ignited a mission.
Amber returned home not just with a dream, but with a calling: to build a place where children could thrive outdoors, care for animals, and learn through wonder-filled, hands-on experiences—all grounded in biblical truth. Her passion for nurturing young hearts and minds through faith, exploration, and real-life learning now lives on through Rolling Acres Academy.
For Amber, this school is more than a project—it’s a promise to raise up children in the way they should go, rooted in truth, wonder, and purpose.
Bob – Entrepreneur, Teacher, Coach
Bob is the owner of T&S Skating Place, a community hub that has served the area for over 50 years. He has taught in the classroom for 12 years and is excited to bring that experience to Rolling Acres Academy, where he will serve as a teacher.
He looks forward to working with the kids—putting God first and learning together through hands-on, active experiences on the farm. They will grow in faith, knowledge, and character every step of the way.
Give your child more than just academics—immerse them in an environment where biblical truth shapes their thinking, farm life grounds their work ethic, and love for learning is sparked daily.
Our curriculum is built on the foundation of biblical truth. Students master the core subjects—reading, writing, and arithmetic—while developing character, discernment, and a deep love for God’s Word.
From gardening to caring for animals, our students engage in daily farm-based activities that teach responsibility, perseverance, and practical skills rooted in real-life experience.
We nurture each child’s heart, mind, and spirit. Through small-group learning, outdoor play, and social-emotional guidance, children grow in confidence, empathy, and self-discipline.
At Rolling Acres Academy, we believe in planting seeds of faith, knowledge, and character. Enrollment is open for families seeking an education rooted in Christian values and the simplicity of back-to-basics, hands-on learning.
